  • What is your booking process?
    Please review information on the "Pricing & Sizes" page. Then, fill out an order inquiry form, and I will be in touch to confirm availability and to discuss next steps. If desired, video or phone consultations are provided for all wedding inquiries. After the consult, I will send you a detailed quote for the cake and delivery. Please note, a $250 booking deposit is required to officially book your wedding cake. Unfortunately I cannot hold your date without a paid deposit. If your wedding is in peak season (May-October), and you feel confident you would like to reserve your date, I recommend booking as soon as possible, as my calendar fills up quickly.
  • Do you provide cake sketches?
    After you have reserved your date, I will create a detailed hand-drawn sketch based on what we have discussed during the virtual consult as well as inspiration photos or mood boards you have provided. I will work with you and make any edits needed to ensure we have brought your vision to life! I will also develop a colour palette which will include all colours that will be used on your cake.
  • Do you offer cake tastings?
    Yes! For wedding inquiries, tasting boxes can be purchased for $35 and include 4 different flavours from my menu. If you decide to book your wedding date, the cost of the tasting box will go towards your final invoice (only applies to 2-tier cake orders and above). Tasting boxes are available approximately every 3 months.
  • How much will my cake cost?
    Please review my "Pricing & Sizes" page for base cake pricing. The base price for cakes includes a standard amount of painted florals/images (accenting each tier). Prices will increase as design complexity increases (eg. all-over painted florals, wafer paper and piped flowers). A detailed quote will be sent to you based on the design and size of cake.
  • What size are cake servings?
    Servings are typically 2 layers of cake sized at 1”x2”x3.25”.
  • Do you work with fondant?
    I work with swiss meringue buttercream that is smooth, soft, and not-too-sweet. Every inch of your cake is edible and delicious!
  • Do you deliver?
    Yes. Delivery is strongly encouraged for all tiered cakes, as driving with them can be difficult. Delivery/cake set-up fees will be based on distance. Once you provide an address, you will be given a delivery quote.
  • What is your payment/cancellation policy?
    For wedding orders, a $250 booking deposit is required to be officially booked. If you have not paid the booking deposit, the event date cannot be reserved, and it may be booked by another client. If you cancel the cake order after booking, the deposit will not be refunded. Orders must be paid in full 3 weeks prior to the event.
  • Do you offer gluten free or dairy free options?
    Unfortunately I am unable to offer gluten or dairy free cakes at this time.
  • How should I store and serve my cake?
    Cakes should be stored in the fridge to maintain freshness, and are best consumed within 1-2 days of pick-up/delivery. Cakes are best served at room temperature so should be taken out of the fridge 2 hours prior to eating (even longer for large cakes). Your cake will come with a cake slicing guide to ensure you receive the correct number of servings. Additionally, cakes CANNOT be left in direct sunlight or the buttercream will begin to melt. If your event is outdoors during the summer, please keep cake indoors or in a cool location until ready to serve. A melted cake is a sad cake ☹.
